Most of the time, writing, production, mixing, and mastering pass through three or four different people who never talk to each other — and something always gets lost along the way. I handle the whole thing myself, so the song keeps one point of view from the first idea to the final master.

I'm also a recording artist myself, releasing my own music out of the same studio. I'm making the same calls on my own records that I make on yours — so I know what a song needs to actually feel finished, not just sound technically clean.
